Parker (Harry) is born in Fitchburg.

Harry Parker graduates from the University of Pennsylvania, serves in the U.S. Navy, and then as Harvard rowing coach (1963-2013). His teams win nine official national championships, 24 Eastern Sprints, and complete 22 undefeated regular seasons. Parker dies on June 25, 2013.
